Dead Space [|] [2009 11 27 16:52:09]

Seriously, this place is dead. Sure, it looks nice, I guess?

To save you the trouble, I've created this so you don't have to look anywhere else. Sure, it's not pretty, but it works.

C'mon, who uses normal plain blogging anymore? It's Web 2.0!

[ C'mon 5pm Friday! ]

Microblogging [|] [2009 07 02 16:40:40]

Ooops, I've really been neglecting this ancient site. It was kinda kewl when I was hating more painful things like LiveJournal, but now it has an IM interface, so I blog fast on that.

However, most of my inane chatter goes to twitter.com/eolh. It's not quite the same as my blog entries but it's much faster. Other people have also stopped blogging on their usual sites for twitter. The way of the internet, I suppose.

I've also been suffering with KDE4. It's okay, if you don't use it for very long and have a powerful machine. It's kinda like Vista in a way. Otherwise it's horribly pretty and pointless. Like Vista.

I'm moving tomorrow, finally got a real rental place with some friends. Nice and close to the Gungahlin town centre. I hope things work out well. More importantly, I hope I can find a place to buy and do the same thing and not move for many years. 7 years would be good.

Waiting [|] [2009 03 31 10:13:44]

I always feel like I'm waiting. Just waiting for the next thing to react to. I'm not very good at planning and doing things first. Many things to sort out to buy a house, which I should have done last year.

Meanwhile, I saw Watchmen and that was good.

I need to see more movies, renewed my Dendy membership for 2 years and I have two free tickets sitting on my coffee table. I cleaned up my coffee table a bit this morning. I'm excellent at making things untidy and rarely getting around to re-tidying things.

My daughter convinced me to enrol her into cheerleading at a local dance studio. She seems to be enjoying it. She's seeing the dentist again today, I hope she's okay.

I've been a bit sick myself, but after some antibiotics and blood test, seems I'm okay except for cholesterol levels, which surprises me because I've never been this light in ages since I've been eating lots of vegan food and cutting heaps of fat out of my diet. I guess I also do binge on occasion.

[ could use more days off ]

TropFest [|] [2009 02 24 11:33:06]

This year I somehow managed to attend TropFest. I do like films, and short awesome ones are appealing in moderated doses. I think you can catch them on YouTube or something. I had a bunch of peeps rock and we ate foods on blankets. Another nearby group had a fondue set with chocolate. Unfortunately with outdoor events, people smoke. And the weather can be unpredictable and sitting down for hours can be somewhat uncomfortable. Overall, it was a good experience but I ponder next year simply sitting at home.

I continue to survive in the Tower. Although I have been balancing my time between there and being out more. It's a pity it's not a very good venue for gaming. Whatever happens this year, when I move, there will be a good gaming room.

If you've looked into Facebook, you already know I got my head shaved. Well, I got it clipped at number 2. It's has been growing back. Rina cried when she saw my haircut.
